Our Grant Making
Grants
Need help to feed more children?
We support local programs tailored to individual communities focused on low-income neighborhoods across Minnesota.
There are opportunities to partner with us through grants in these three areas:
Those eligible to participate in CACFP include, public or private nonprofit child care centers, Head Start programs, care centers that operate outside-school-hours, and organizations that are licensed or approved to provide day care services.
Our grants can fund start-up costs, training, serving and point-of-sale equipment purchases at sites that provide a learning curriculum.
Grants will be evaluated based on:
• Approved SFSP sponsor
• Organization seeking approval to become SFSP sponsor
• Site located in area eligible location
• Number of children to be served
• Number of meals served per day
• Number of days of operation
• Ability to pilot new strategies to increase summer meal program participation
• Child Nutrition Index Data (provided by Hunger Impact Partners)
